Aftershoot Develop enables in-app RAW editing and rendering with full manual controls — including sliders, masks, and presets — native editing means you can edit, refine, and export images directly within Aftershoot, without dependency on external tools like Lightroom or Capture One.

Aftershoot allows you to keep improving your AI Profiles to be more accurate to your style as you edit more images with it. Once edited with your Professional AI Profile, you can make your tweaks and add them for your AI Profile to learn from your recent tweaks and improve accordingly.
You can also customize any Professional, Instant or Pre-built AI Profile by making changes to different sliders like White Balance, Tones, HSL, Exposure etc to make it truly your own based on the type of projects you do.

To start with, you need a Lightroom Classic or Capture One catalog with the edited images to train your AI profile. While you can start training a personal AI editing profile with as few as 2,500 images, Aftershoot recommends using at least 5,000 images for optimal results. The more diverse images you provide which represent your style, the better the AI can understand your editing preferences and create a profile that accurately mimics and reflects your style.

AI is essentially machine learning, where repeatedly made decisions teach the computer. Our AI, or magical unicorns, learns by seeing patterns in the decisions you make when culling, editing, or retouching. AI Profile looks at the edited images you feed to learn the way you edit your photos in different lighting conditions. Once trained, it is able to pick up on your fine adjustments and apply an edit in your style while maintaining your look for each lighting condition. It’s a process that takes time and needs patterns that are recognizable as well.

Aftershoot is compatible with a wide variety of image types, including all major RAW formats and JPEGs. This ensures that you can use Aftershoot with images from virtually any camera, regardless of its make or model.

Yes. Aftershoot works locally on your computer, so you can process your images without depending on cloud uploads or a constant internet connection. That also gives you more control over your files. Once AI Profiles are downloaded, you can go offline and edit without any issues.
You can opt out before you import your images. We understand many photographers work with NDAs for sensitive shoots, or simply aren’t comfortable sharing data — the opt-out is right on the import screen. No questions, no gray areas.

Our AI Editing plan starts at $30/month (billed annually) — unlimited photos, no per-image fees, ever. We offer both — monthly as well as annual billing.
Even if you do three shoots a month with 1000 images each, it will cost you a fixed $30. Try as many options as you want or as per your preferences.
Plans can also be paused during slower seasons if you don’t need it year-round.

Aftershoot runs smoothly on any modern Windows or macOS computer. The minimum system requirements are 8GB of RAM and a relatively recent CPU.
Note: Features like preview rendering and retouching may not work reliably on systems using Intel Integrated Graphics (iGPU) or GPUs with less than 2GB VRAM.
