Aftershoot Create Together Fund – Cohort 2 Now Live!

Photography is more than just capturing moments – it’s a lens through which we see, share, and shape the world. It brings people together, inspires learning, and nurtures thriving communities

That’s exactly why, in 2024, we launched Create Together Fund (CTF) – Aftershoot’s first-ever grant program designed to empower photographers to build local communities.

We believed in the power of community, and you proved us right.

The response was overwhelming. From photo walks to full-scale workshops, 27 community leaders brought together 600+ photographers from across the world to learn &  connect.

And now? We’re back – bigger, better, and ready for more.

Aftershoot’s Create Together Fund Cohort 2 is officially live! If you’re a photographer with a vision to build a local community, host a workshop, or organize an unforgettable photography experience, this is your chance.

We’re looking for passionate community leaders to host photography events of all kinds – from meetups and styled shoots to hands-on workshops.

Applying is simple:

1. Fill out the application form: Share your event idea and how it will benefit photographers in your area.
2. Plan your event: Whether it’s a photo walk, a workshop, or something new, tell us your vision.
3. Get funded: If selected, you’ll receive 50% funding and resources to bring your event to life and 50% post-event
4. Timeline:  The event must be organized between April and June 2025
5. Build your community: Connect, create, and inspire photographers in your city.

Who can be a part of this fund?

Ideal candidates for the fund should meet at least two of the following criteria:

1. Professional photographer with a portfolio of recent work
2. Significant social media presence in the photography niche.
3. Experience in photography education (online or offline)
4. Leader of an existing photography community or network
5. Has previous experience in hosting photography-related workshops, events, or meetups
6. Instructor at a photography school or educational institution
7. Influencer with relevant product endorsements in the photography industry
