The longer I’m in this wonderful job for and the more competitive the landscape gets, the more discerning I’ve gotten with my work as a result. My images simply have to be out of this world with proper attention and care, from the beginning of my couples set, right to the end. This means more time intensive editing work. Using Aftershoot has been instrumental in ensuring that as the standards of my work raise, that my time-spend doesn’t increase, so that I can continue to focus my energy on all of the surrounding parts of what is a service-based business. Setting up a profile is incredibly simple, and the workflow of the Aftershoot app gets me going in a few quick clicks. It’s become an impossibly wonderful addition to my workflow, and taken me away from time-intensive tasks that are low-value, into tasks that are more high-value for my business.

FAQs

I don't have any existing edits for AI Profile training, can I still use Aftershoot?
Yes, you can! Aftershoot provides pre-built AI Profiles that you can start using right away. These profiles are designed to meet common editing preferences. If you later develop your own style, you can create a custom AI Profile by training the AI with your specific edits. There are two types of pre-built AI profiles: 1. Built by Aftershoot which is free to use. 2. Built by famous photographers. You will have to pay separately to get those styles and all those proceeds will directly go the creators.
How to edit your images with Aftershoot?
Aftershoot offers two powerful ways to edit your images. First, you can train a personal AI editing profile. This involves uploading a set of your previously edited photos, allowing the AI to learn your unique editing style. Once trained, the AI can then apply your preferred edits to new photos, saving you hours of manual work. Second, you can use one of Aftershoot's pre-built AI Styles, available in the Marketplace. These styles are crafted by professional photographers and offer a diverse range of aesthetic options.
What does Aftershoot Edits do?
There are two ways you can use Aftershoot Edits. The first way is by training your own Personal AI Editing Profile, which learns from your edited photos and, trains to mirror your style, and applies it to new photos. The second way is by downloading one of the Aftershoot pre-built AI Styles, available in our Marketplace. Both of them dynamically adapt their editing to every particular image, considering varying contexts, lighting conditions, and more, as well as having the option to apply cropping and straightening. Find out more about Aftershoot Editing.
How to edit your Images with Aftershoot pre-built AI styles?
Aftershoot's pre-built AI styles provide a quick and easy way to enhance your images. Simply download a style from the Aftershoot Marketplace and apply it to your photos. These styles are designed to adapt to each image, ensuring that the edits look natural and complement the scene. You can also combine pre-built styles with your own personal AI editing profile for even more creative control.
How many images should I use to train a profile?
To start with, you need Lightroom Classic or Capture One catalog with the edited images to train your AI profile. While you can start training a personal AI editing profile with as few as 2,500 images, Aftershoot recommends using at least 5,000 images for optimal results. The more images you provide, the better the AI can understand your editing preferences and create a profile that accurately reflects your style.
How does the AI work and get trained?
AI is essentially machine learning, where repeatedly made decisions teach the computer. Our AI, or magical unicorns, learns by seeing patterns in the decisions you make when Culling or Editing. If the AI notices that you prefer emotion in photos and choose it over sharpness, it will start prioritizing emotion over sharpness in its decisions as well. It's a process that takes time and needs patterns that are recognizable as well.
What types of images are supported in Aftershoot?
Aftershoot is compatible with a wide variety of image types, including all major RAW formats and JPEGs. This ensures that you can use Aftershoot with images from virtually any camera, regardless of its make or model.
